       As you know, the sheer horsepower-for-money ratio of the Toyota GT86 has had a polarising effect on the market. Nevertheless, the carmaker is now working on a mysterious special edition of the sportscar.

       Toyota made the announcement while releasing the 2015 updates for the GT86, but didn’t want to offer any details on the matter.

       “This is not the end of the GT86 story for 2015: a new special edition model will be joining the range this summer, details to be announced soon”, Toyota said.
 

       By the looks of it, we may be facing the extra-equipment-and-different-colors type of edition. At least this is the sort of conclusion we can draw based on what 2015 has brought for the standard GT86.

       The announcement, which comes from Toyota’s British arm, is led by a reduction for the entry-level price. Thus, the 2015 GT86 is GBP300 cheaper, to which the company has added an “on-going customer offer” that brings a GBP505 saving. As a result, the entry-level Primi model comes with an on-the-road price of GBP22,195.

       The rest of the range keeps its pricing. Nevertheless, at the other end of the line-up we find the Aero model, which features Gloss Black 18-inch rims and a GT86 Orange paint job. As of this year, the model is no longer available with an automatic since the six-speed gearbox wasn’t exactly agile. In addition, these larger wheels can also be ordered as an option on the base model.

       We’re still waiting for Toyota to do more in order to increase the customer appeal of what is otherwise a sweetly agile sportscar.

       The Lamborghini Urus will be underpinned by the same platform used for SUVs such as the Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne. Powered is expected to come from a V12 engine that will deliver around 600 horsepower.

       Showcased almost one year ago, the Lamborghini Urus SUV has been green-lighted for production. The announcement was made by the Italian automaker while celebrating its 50th anniversary.

       Speaking at a send-off dinner of the Grande Giro 50th anniversary tour, Audi boss Rupert Stadler confirmed that Lamborghini's first SUV will hit the production line. While no other details have been revealed, Auto Guide claims that the vehicle will be built starting 2017.

 

       The Sant'Agata Bolognese-based automaker hopes to produce around 3,000 Urus SUVs per year and sell them mainly in the United States, Russia, China and the Middle East.
