The UNO was invented by Canadian man named Ben J. Poss Gulak. The vehicle had its first public unveiling in 2008.
It is an electric-powered vehicle that uses gyroscopic technology. This might look like a “unicycle” or “one wheeled motorcycle” to you but it is really a “dicycle” that has two wheels side-by-side which makes it look like a unicycle.
Ben Gulak has spent several years building the electric Uno that runs on electricity and controlled by body language. The dicycle accelerates by leaning forward and slowing down by leaning backwards, leaning further makes it go faster. The Uno has two gyros, one to control forward (and backward) motion, the other for turning (the wheels are completely independent).
The Uno weighs approximately 129 pounds (58 kg); it can be taken indoors and carried into elevators; and has a top speed of 25 mph (40 klms).
